(March 29, 2009) As you may well know, The bill to reform New York’s draconian Rockefeller Drug Laws is finally complete – finalized late Saturday night – and although the New York Civil Liberties Union has applauded this historic agreement--we're not there yet.



The Bill to provide the most major reform of the Draconian Rockefeller Drug Laws is slated to be voted on sometime on Tuesday-But -There will be hostile amendments and other things to beat back and we need to keep the pressure on. We need to give our state Senators the message that we support them and will continue to support them by voting for this historic reform. As is-without hostile amendments that will take away the reform that this true first step brings.
